Reaching into my Brooklyn roots, I narrated my short story about a police interrogation by a couple of Brooklyn homicide detectives. When the lead suspect spins them an incredulous story, the theme hits close to Murphey's heart. True or wild fantasy, what happens in that interrogation room has deep impact on the head detective, leading to life-altering decisions.
